As the “department issue” badge of the Oregon State Police becomes harder and harder to find on the collectors market, reproductions are coming from everywhere. As this entry is made into the website, another manufacturer of reproductions in Germany has added their badge to the growing list of reproduction OSP badges.

The GOde Company has made quite a few other state police and highway patrol reproduction badges, and overall, their quality has been very good. The one made in the custom designed Oregon State Police badge isn’t all that bad from the front, but from the back, as you’ll note, it is quite easy to tell that this is a reproduction and not a USA made badge. GOde has been good so far in adding their logo hallmark. It has appeared on all of their badges that we have seen to date.

If you are seeking a “department issue” Oregon State Police for your collection, this is one new reproduction you at least need to know about. So far, I do not have a clue as to what these repros are selling for, or if they have actually fooled any serious collectors, but here is the GOde reproduction, front and back for your information.

Our publication tells the secrets of telling a "department issue" badge from a fake or a reproduction. Should you encounter a badge that you have questions about, do send us a copy of the photos, front and back. This will help us in our efforts of telling other collectors what is out on the market these days. Should you encounter a state patrol badge and have questions about it, send us a photo of the badge, back and front, and let us give you an opinion. Remember, it is your input that alerts us to the fakes and reproductions that are out there. Support this site by telling us of questionable badges. Our BADGE GUIDE will assist you in collecting only valid badges, and will advise on a bracket price for each state.
